Our Story

Every piece of art tells a story. Mine began at the intersection of Jamaican heritage, deep Christian faith, and a lifelong love of seeing Black identity celebrated with the reverence it deserves.

I'm the artist behind MrBeardyArts — a creative rooted in the UK with Jamaican blood running through my veins. My journey into art wasn't planned. It grew from a simple question: why do so many depictions of biblical figures look nothing like the people of Africa and the Middle East where these stories unfolded?

That question became a calling. I started creating images of Black Jesus, African biblical figures, and Afrocentric faith scenes — not as a statement of conflict, but as an act of belonging. Seeing yourself in the art that matters to you changes something inside you. It says: you are part of this story too.

My work spans Christianity, African heritage, music culture, Caribbean identity, and celebration of Black womanhood. Each collection is a different dimension of a culture that is rich, layered, and infinitely beautiful. Whether it's Black Jesus at the Last Supper, the Lion of Judah, or an African drumming scene — every piece carries the same intention: to make you feel seen, celebrated and connected.
